Long Beach for Spring Break

We stayed two nights at an interesting beach house on the southern Washington coast. It had almost enough beds for all of us, and easy access to the (long trail to the) almost-deserted beach. Monday we played out in the cold wind, but Tuesday the rain just kept coming, which made leaving for home a little easier:)
The beginning of the building project:
Jacob worked on his own 'castle' further from the incoming tide...
After their creation was claimed by a wave, it was time to get REALLY cold--Rebekah, Jacob and Beth all dunked themselves, then we headed back to the beach house for hot cocoa & popcorn.

Ours was a much smaller house, tucked among those you can see. It was quite a hike to the water! But a nice wide, shallow beach...

Daniel: I liked the little toy light saber, and the big cowboy hat

Joseph: I liked going to the beach

Caleb: fun beach........................................................

Beth: I liked playing Rummikub, over and over:)

Jacob: great beach, cool house, sand castle carving

Michael: a LOT of lay-around time. We watched a good 4 hours of movies in one night, then another 2 in the morning.

Rebekah: swimming in the ocean was pretty awesome, that's my favorite part of the beach, regardless of how cold it is.

Well, would you believe I finally figured out that clicking on your name brings me to your blog. How cool! Poor chemo brain.

Thank you for all of your kind comments. I think you're family is pretty awesome. I loved all of the art work and notes that arrived to me when I was in the hardest part of my illness. They did so much to brigthen my days.
