Zoo trip Friday 10/21/11

We were long overdue for a trip to the zoo, so when a groupon came along I snapped it up for a (relatively) cheap trip with the five youngest. Other than taking Daniel to speech 'on the way,' I think they had a good time, but no pictures because I forgot my camera:(

Nathan: kept calling them all dogs, and really got excited about the elephants and bats. (he liked them all before he got grumpy and fell asleep, but got really animated and tried to climb out of the stroller to get to those)

Daniel: really liked the big fish (arms held all the way out both sides--yes, they were really that big!) and the big turtle (arms out both sides again--they were much smaller, actually) and little crocodile on the log (Amazan flood basin exhibit or something like that). He also said he really liked the elephants.

Joseph: I liked it. it was rile werd. we saw most of the animals. my favrit animal was a tiger

Caleb: liked it. (upon further questioning: liked everything except the tigers and lions because they didn't even move. favorite thing was as you come out of the Pacific Shores building, where it has a fake tide that comes in and blows water through a hole to create a mini fountain of sorts)

Beth: I liked the sea otters and river otters(the river otters loved doing flips off the glass)I also liked the wolves and being able to see them up close. One of the orangutans came right up to the glass and started to fall asleep while we were there.
